Andreese Ortiz, a senior at Menifee Heritage High in California, secured second place in the girls invitational discus throw with a lifetime-best mark of 146-4 (44.60m) in the opening round at the 56th Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High in California. Ortiz also placed fifth in the invitational shot put with a 42-2.25 (12.85m) effort in the third round.
